Church Planting (if done correctly) remains one of the most effective tools that God uses to accomplish the Great Commission. God has used servants like Rick Warren, Bill Hybels, Larry DeWitt, Jack Hayford, Yonngi Cho, Jim Griffith, Martin Roman, Ken Priddy, Jared Roth, and a host of others to plant some of the most effective churches today. In fact, if you think about it, every church that is effective in ministry today was at one time a church plant.
Why is Church Planting so effective? There are many reasons God is blessing new churches: New Churches are started around God's vision, Church Planters must rely on prayer rather than tradition or buildings, Pre-Christians find new churches less threatening, New churches often hold evangelism as a core value, Pastors of new churches experience a supportive team of leaders around them that are very open to change.
Who We Are:
This site is hosted by a group of evangelical organizations that have partnered together to accomplish the Great Commission through Church Planting. All participating organizations adhere to the theological standards of the National Association of Evangelicals. Within this framework, you will find theological diversity among our participants.
Purpose:
The Purpose of this site is to offer a "one stop" experience for potential Church Planters to connect with church planting opportunities offered by various organizations across North America, the USA, and Canada. This site intentionally does not offer great depth -- it is designed to be a launching out point.
We understand that church planters are looking for a quick no-nonsense confidential way to talk with organizations who are planting churches. Many folks who are sensing God's leading to plant are currently successfully serving and have no desire to just "carpet" the world with their resume - they need a confidential effective tool to hook them up with opportunities.
We understand that organizations are who are planting churches are looking for screened church planting applicants who have a strong potential to plant churches. Getting a bunch of resumes from people looking for a job is not effective.
This site has been set up by a group of denominations and districts who want to work together in hooking up church planters and church planting opportunities.
How is it working -- very very very well.
